Fin Families,

This Thursday is our first swim meet of the season (and first in-person meet in almost two years)! The coaches and team managers are incredibly excited and proud of the progress made by our swimmers, and we can't wait until Thursday!  

Please read this email carefully. Some general information for everyone:

1. The meet is hosted by Marinole (802 Judith Dr, Dayton, OH 45429). Swimmers should be completely ready and standing by Jolene at 5:30. Please leave yourself plenty of time to arrive on time. If you are stuck in traffic, text Jolene so that she knows you are on your way. (I try to leave about 4:30 to allow for any delays.)

2. Jolene will send out instructions about swimmers' events and checking in with her upon arrival at the pool.

3. Per new GDSA policy, no swimmers are allowed to change in the bathrooms. Plan accordingly.

4. Per new GDSA policy, specatators will not be able to sit on the pool deck. Only officials, coaches, workers, and swimmers are allowed on deck. One exception is the "walk through" area where specatators will be allowed to walk up for one race and then exit.

5. Marinole hasn't given details yet, but plan on street parking and walking to the pool. Also, bring a chair and bugspray as we will likely be in a grassy area away from the pool.

6. Masks are optional.

7. Marinole is expected to have its concessions stand open. Your swimmers should bring plenty of his/her own water.

8. ALL SWIMMERS will be required to be seated in the clerk of course before going to the blocks. (This is an attempt to prevent overcrowding at the blocks--a real problem, especially at Marinole). All swimmers should check in with the FV bullpen worker at the clerk of course before heading into the clerk of course.

9. Swimmers are responsible for arriving at the clerk of course on time for each event. Parents of littles, please escort your swimmers to the clerk of course and wait for them to be seated.  

10. Everyone, keep in mind that the coaches will be coaching. They will not be watching that swimmers line up on time. That responsibility falls on the swimmers and parents.

11. Marinole is expected to livestream the event. A link will be availble later.

12. Expect more emails in the next two days. :)
